Hola Munchkins!
Winter sucks the life out of my skin, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem.  If a notoriously oily-skinned girl like myself lacks radiance, then I'll eat my non-existent hat if other skin types aren't having the same problemo.  So how does a gal stay radiant but oil free?  Enter Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation.  I have actually avoided this foundation like the plague, thinking it to be for the normal-to-dry skin masses.  But something just took a hold of me a few days ago and , as if in a trance, I found myself at a Boots counter handing over my pennies (granted, it was 3 for 2 on Rimmel,  and I ended up with a Scandaleyes shadow stick and a pink shimmery thing too!).

I have to say, for reasons aforementioned, I wasn't expecting a huge amount from this foundation - plus all previous radiance-enhancing high street foundations have resulted in a greasy,  slippy mess on my skin.  But this stuff, this stuff earns its place in my fairytale brain, and the right to be given the moniker of magic.   That's right.  Magic.   Really?   I hear you ask?  Yes, magic us real and if you do not believe in it then I have no other choice than to feel sad for you.  But back to this particular magic.  Firstly, it sinks into a second skin on the face.  Secondly it thick, but somehow weightless. Thirdly, coverage can be built from sheer to medium-full.  Fourthly, without powder skin looks healthy, with powder it looks like a flawless type of natural.  Now, coming to "fifthly" - it controls shine and lasts the entire commute-to-commute day: that's a whole 12-13 hours.
The first day I wore this I completely forgot to pack my powder in my bag, so all I could do was blot around2pm.  Cue coming home at 8 to find my face still exists!   Now, I am one who can be accused of loving things far too quickly and doing reviews far too soon, but I'm really quite confident that this will become my new go-to foundation.
Love A.x
